Walk through the wilderness
About me: Peter Siegfried Krug has a deep and important relationship with nature, which served as a coping mechanism during his traumatic childhood and which he actively cultivates today in his free time through photography.
Nature as a refuge in childhood
During his difficult time in homes and with foster parents in Salzburg, Krug experienced neglect and abuse.
Spending time in nature served as a kind of survival strategy to help him cope with his traumatic experiences.
Nature in his photography
Today, his connection to nature is expressed in his passion for photography.
He has a wide range of photographic interests, including portrait and animal photography, but his main passion is landscape photography.
He has already published photos in the photo blogs of the Salzburger Nachrichten, including motifs from the Salzburg area.
One example is a photo showing a “view from the Kolowratshöhle cave, Untersberg near Salzburg,” which he shared on the YouPic platform.
His connection to nature is therefore a central and constant part of his life, one that has helped him through difficult times and which he now lives out creatively and productively.
