As Fabien Grellier is reeled in, the peloton is bunched. But the distance between the first and the last riders of the Tour can extend to a couple dozens of kilometres in the mountains… As team cars can’t be everywhere, Shimano has the mechanics, spares and bidons to provide neutral assistance to the riders wherever needed.
