Rudy Seiger was born in San Francisco and lived in the city his entire life.

At a young age he started to play violin.

He had a brother who was a skilled pianiest.

Rudy provided music for the Fairmont Hotel starting in 1907 (when the city was recovering from the 1906 quake).

He was married, but his wife died during the Spanish flu epidemic.

He owned a small ranch near Mt. Diablo, in Contra Costa County, as a vacation home.

He made Victor records, but they did not sell well.

He died in 1961.
