The episode of Lain that aired during the Southeastern "Purple Weather" Incident

Another Deep Web find once again. This one I found on a website called "Conspiracy Conrad's Cabalistic Circumstances Corner". Most of the videos there were mere video logs from this guy, usually him rambling about random topics relating to various cryptids and government conspiracies (yes, even Roswell and JFK themselves). The site appears to have been around since the turn of the century and has dormant for a decade and a half, and while usually I don't find myself intrigued in these types of claims, easily one thing I find interesting is his showcases where he claims to have accessed various government files. He vaguely gives off his explanation on how he obtained these files, saying that he talks with some users in various chatrooms who have links to various government officials. Easily the most intriguing to me is this one supposedly recorded by Conrad himself.

The description he wrote for the video stated that the footage was related to the Southeastern "Purple Weather" incident, an incident that happened on May 10th, 2003 where seemingly purple colored skies were spotted throughout the entire region. To this day the mystery remains unanswered, though theories, as you would expect, hint at a supposed "extra-terrestrial encounter". The video consists of a recorded broadcast of the anime " Serial Experiments Lain" airing on the local station WPKW, for those who don't know, this was recorded around the time the station was broadcasting various anime on Friday nights as a sort of weekly block, starting in 2001.

The recording features the warning notice sent out by the National Alert System regarding the phenomenon. The broadcast itself is anomalous. Many people who witnessed the event have claimed that their TVs were interfered with, and signals appear to have been tampered by another party. Over 400 witnesses also reported that strange, cloaked individuals in trench coats and fedoras, appearing to be "officers" of some kind, were standing at their front doorsteps. In the description, Conrad claimed that the footage he recorded over the tape at the end featured what he reported as one of those individuals, who had seemingly got inside his house despite the locked doors.

As for this phenomenon, as one could guess, most government officials publicly denied any sort of malicious claims surrounding it. While they do acknowledge a meteorological phenomenon occurring that night, it is written off as a "supposed atmosphere pollution" that happened at a nearby government branch. Most news articles of the situation, footage of the incident recorded by witnesses, were recalled, whether by hush money, or legal threats, or even both matters. Conrad would then conclude that he told officers that he had destroyed his tape in order to cease any further investigations. So I've decided to upload it her on this channel for all to see, definitely an interesting, yet obscure, alien report I've ever read.

I do not own the footage used in this video.
