Southerly airflow continues to bring mild conditions. Low cloud covers most of the UK with areas of mist, drizzle and patches of rain, particularly over higher ground. Some clear skies in the far southeast of England and northern Scotland, giving bright and sunny spells. Cloud thickening throughout the afternoon, and remaining into the evening as we see the onset of bands of rain approaching from the southwest, tracking northeasterly throughout the evening to affect much of southern and central England, Wales and Northern Ireland. - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the afternoon of 15/10/24.
