On October 13, 2024, an Israeli strike targeted the historic ottoman mosque of Kfartebnit, a village in Nabatiyeh, South Lebanon. Under International Humanitarian Law, Places of worship are highly protected as cultural property and any intentional attack on such a place of worship constitutes a war crime.
