In New York, subway cars from the 1930s bring passengers back in time
Paddle ceiling fans, incandescent light bulbs and vintage advertisements: New York subway cars used from the 1930s to the 1970s are back on the MTA tracks as part of the Holiday Nostalgia Rides program. A native New Yorker who dressed in a vintage costume describes a "warm feeling in my heart." "This train brought me back to when I was a little kid, Christmas trees and just good vibes", says a Bronx resident.
