Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Thursday that a Christmas ceasefire plan for Ukraine is 'on the table'.
'You can take it or leave it' he added, explaining that the plan would consist in a ceasefire over Christmas time and in an exchange of 'big quantity' of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia.
A Communications Advisor to the President of Ukraine, Dmytro Lytvyn, reacted to Orban's proposal for a "Christmas truce", calling Orban "an intrusive messenger from Putin."
"If such an intrusive messenger from Putin has appeared, we can respond to his ultimatum with one thing — we need a real, reliable, and fair peace for Ukraine. Putin's messengers are unnecessary for anyone genuinely involved in working toward peace," Lytvyn said.
