mackerel lacquered in soy sauce! This often underestimated fish is nonetheless extremely tasty, especially when cooked in this way: a lacquering with Asian flavors to die for, for a sweet and savory blend. All you have to do is serve it with white rice (in this case, we've chosen sushi rice), sprinkle some fresh chopped chives on top and you've got a well-balanced, delicious dish!
Ingredients:
- 1 cleaned mackerel fillet
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp mirin
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp. honey
Toppings:
- golden sesame seeds
- chives
- sriracha (optional)
Accompaniment:
- 1/3 cup rice (in this case sushi rice)
