Chinese Man Who Crossed Strait in Dinghy Indicted Under Taiwan's Immigration Law

A Chinese national named Wang was indicted for illegally entering Taiwan after crossing the sea in a rubber dinghy in September 2024. Rescued off New Taipei City’s coast, he claimed to be seeking freedom and could face up to five years in prison.
