A carpenter who considered suicide when thieves swiped £12k of tools in minutes is one of 500 tradespeople who will march on parliament over a "van tool theft epidemic"
Hundreds of tradespeople are descending on Westminster today (3) to demand the government do more to stop the "tool theft epidemic".
Among them is Stephen Baker, 31, who considered taking his own life after thieves stole £12,000 worth of tools from his van.
Under the gaze of CCTV, they popped the lock in just 22 seconds - emptied the van in four minutes - and carpenter Stephen couldn't claim anything on insurance because it was a hire van.
