Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an has called the denying of entry for a Shanghai City Taiwan Affairs Office delegation to attend the Taipei Lantern Festival regrettable. The Mainland Affairs Council says the group submitted their application too late, and that Shanghai TAO has been blocking Taiwanese businesspeople from returning to Taiwan for events.
