Violin from Stradivari's famed 'Golden Period' could fetch $12-18M at auction
A violin made by renowned Italian craftsman Antonio Stradivari could fetch between $12-to-18 million when it hits the auction block at Sotheby’s New York later this week. The Joachim-Ma violin dates to Stradivari’s Golden Period. It was made by the craftsman in 1714, when he was about 70 years old. The auction will take place on Feb. 7, 2025 during Sotheby’s Masters Week.
