A woman who experiences debilitating periods spends up to £100 each month on treats to help her get through them.
Emily Rae Baker, 31, from Derby, says her painful cycles leave her body feeling like it’s in “full shutdown,” and she’s currently on a 52-week waiting list to see a gynaecologist.
Emily, a professional dancer, rewards herself with anything from a £5 coffee to a £100 clothing item, describing it as a "silver lining" to her discomfort.
For her February cycle, she plans to get a fine-line tattoo, calling it a meaningful reminder to "keep being me."
