Lily Hightower, 23, was trying out a new mascara but when she attempted to take it off she discovered her make up remover didn't quite do the trick.
Video shows Lily with black mascara smeared all over her eyes, nose and forehead after trying to remove the mascara with her makeup removing balm.
Lily initially sent the video warning viewers not to get the carbon black telescopic mascara by beauty supplier L'Oréal to her group of friends, who then insisted she share the story online.
Lily eventually managed to remove the mascara using a wet cloth with warm water and vigorous rubbing.
