'Ugliest dog' Deadpool star wins top prize at canine Oscars
The Fido awards — the annual canine equivalent of the Academy Awards — were held in London on Sunday, February 23, with the doggy star of 'Deadpool & Wolverine' getting her paws on the top global award.
Peggy the pugese — a pug and Chinese crested cross who lives in Yorkshire in northern England — was once crowned Britain's ugliest dog in a national contest.
But the Fidos named her as winner of the 'Best in World' award for her standout acting performance playing Dogpool in the movie alongside stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
