Hundreds of artefacts stolen or taken by Indonesia’s former colonial ruler, the Netherlands, are being displayed in Jakarta, after they were repatriated. In recent years efforts to bring back Indonesian cultural objects have intensified, despite questions over whether Indonesian museums can properly protect them.
