China on Tuesday said the arrest of Philippine ex-President Rodrigo Duterte was “an important breaking incident” and was “closely following the developments.”
Duterte was arrested at Manila's international airport on Tuesday on the orders of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in connection with a case of crime against humanity filed against him, the Philippine government said.
