Udupi, Karnataka – A shocking incident has emerged from Malpe, where a woman was allegedly tied to a tree and beaten on suspicion of stealing fish. The incident came to light on Wednesday, March 19, after a video of the assault surfaced on social media.
In the viral footage, a fisherwoman is seen thrashing another woman and accusing her of stealing fish from boats during unloading at Malpe Port. According to sources, when boat personnel confronted the woman over the alleged theft of prawns, she initially denied the allegations.
However, the matter was later reported to the Malpe police station, where she reportedly admitted to the theft. Authorities are investigating the incident, and further action is expected.
