ANNIKA, 21, from California, describes her look as 'athletic, simple & modest'; she rarely uses makeup and admits that her hair is often messy... Despite being quite content with her relaxed aesthetic, Annika's best friends and mom know it's time for a change. Annika told Transformed: "My mom and my best friend Caelan, are definitely fed up with how I look. The words that Caelan uses are 'homeless chic'!" Annika confessed that part of the reason for her not branching out and trying more daring fashion, is down to the low confidence she has about her appearance. She said: "Since I was about 13 years old, my confidence has been at a really low point and that is often shown in the way that I look. I would like to elevate my style a little bit sometimes and feel confident in my own skin but it's just so scary." Today, Annika has taken the brave step of letting her mom & best friend buy a brand new glamorous outfit for her for their girls night, which is something Annika never thought she would do! Then, with the help of makeup artist Gloria and hair stylist Cielo, they will complete her glow up and transform Annika from her 'athletic, simple, modest' style to a 'glamorous look', which will hopefully give her the confidence she has always wanted. Will Annika leave her messy and modest days behind for good? Or will Annika hate what she sees and revert back to her old comfortable ways?
