UNAIDS warns that 6.3 million people could die from AIDS-related illnesses in the next four years if U.S. foreign aid isn’t restored. The agency says recent aid cuts could lead to 2,000 new HIV infections per day. The decision comes after former U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration paused hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign assistance for 90 days.
