UP keeps semis bid alive as it ousts UE from UAAP women's volleyball event
The UP Fighting Maroons put themselves in the thick of UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball Final Four contention after eliminating the UE Lady Warriors, 25-21, 25-18, 25-17, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on March 30, 2025. Irah Jaboneta tallied 13 points, nine digs, and eight receptions for UP which improved to 5-5 at fifth place, just half a game behind the fourth-running UST at 5-4. UE stayed winless at 0-10 to bomb out of the tournament. The Lady Warriors can only win a maximum of four games in the 14-game elimination round.
