US Central Command footage said to show preparations to carry out strikes on Houthis
The US military's Central Command (CENTCOM), which oversees troops in the Middle East, released a video on Tuesday, April 1, claiming to show preparations to carry out strikes on the Houthis.
The video shows two missiles being launched from a ship, as well as three fighter aircraft taking off from an unspecified military base.
The White House has said that US strikes in Yemen earlier this month killed the Houthi top missile expert, but the US military has so far declined to confirm the death, and the identity of the Houthi commander in question is unclear.
Houthi representatives could not immediately be reached for comment during the Muslim Eid al-Fitr holiday.
