More than 50 countries have reached out to the White House to begin trade talks following Trump’s new tariffs, according to the Associated Press. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said unfair trade practices can’t be resolved “in days or weeks,” Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick confirmed the tariffs will proceed. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is expected to raise the issue during his Monday visit to the White House. A bipartisan bill backed by several Republican senators would require presidential tariffs to be approved by Congress within 60 days or automatically expire.
