Sotheby's unveils 'The Mediterranean Blue Diamond' in Abu Dhabi

Sotheby's unveils on April 8, 2025 in Abu Dhabi a recently-discovered rare blue diamond. The Mediterranean Blue diamond made its debut at an exhibition hosted at the Bassam Freiha Art Foundation and attended by media and guests. According to Sotheby's, it is a 10.03-carat cushion modified brilliant-cut Fancy Vivid Blue Diamond, VS2 clarity, with an estimated price tag of $20 million. The rare diamond is expected to be auctioned in Geneva next month.
