A federal judge ordered the White House to restore the Associated Press’ full access to presidential events, according to the Associated Press. U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden ruled that the government cannot retaliate against the Associated Press for refusing to follow Trump’s executive order to rename the Gulf of Mexico. He stated that the First Amendment bars the government from excluding journalists based on their viewpoints if it grants access to others. The White House has one week to respond before the order takes effect.
