The contestants in this episode are Romano & Angela Galoni from Kent, Olive & Steven Kirk from London & Manchester, John Allam & Debbie Reynolds from Cornwall, and Hazel & Chris Goodchild from Yorkshire. Bruce Forsyth helps them through the games, assisted by the lovely Rosemary Ford, and they include "Walkies" (with the Royal Air Force Dog Team), "Fun with Fondents" (making cakes with a topical kids theme, which kids from the early 90's will recognize), "Up Up and Away" (packing up a hot air balloon) and "Sign Here", a road sign guessing game, before the finale sees the final two couples compete in a Come Dancing play off years before Brucie would do the comeback spin off in 2004. There are some good (and sometimes chaotic) games, such as the dog training and the Road Sign game, which the contestants are so impressive - in their total ignorance of it! And the Come Dancing finale has a twist that none of the contestants are expecting, with some dealing with it better than others. There is also a notable quip from Bruce early on about if the teams can't be split they'd go to a play off vote. This refers to Margaret Thatcher's leadership vote a few days before against Michael Hestletine, but what none of them knew when recording this is by the time this episode was broadcast on November 23rd, Mrs Thatcher had resigned just the day before. Anyway, enjoy.
