On April 13, 2025, a traffic policeman from Cubbon Park Traffic Police Station was caught violating traffic rules—driving a departmental vehicle (KA05KA5343) in the wrong direction on Dr. Ambedkar Road, a designated one-way street in Bengaluru. Shockingly, the same vehicle had over ₹10,000 in pending fines for multiple violations.
In a commendable act of transparency, the Bengaluru City Traffic Police detained their own vehicle and penalised the officer involved. This strong action sends a clear message: no one is above the law—not even those tasked with enforcing it.
By holding one of their own accountable, the department has set a powerful example of integrity and has reinforced public trust in the system.
