SWAT teams arrested 42-year-old Dean Carr in Redfern, Sydney, after a manhunt following a stabbing incident.
Carr was wanted on an outstanding warrant related to alleged domestic violence offenses.
The arrest took place on April 14, 2025, when police surrounded him in a park with armed officers and unmarked agents.
An onlooker described hearing gunshots and seeing a large police presence.
Carr, described as an alleged underworld figure, had been sought after a woman was stabbed during a home invasion at a luxury apartment in Sydney's CBD.
He was taken away on a stretcher with bandages around his head.
