Chennai Super Kings returned to winning ways with a superb performance, beating Lucknow Super Giants by five wickets in IPL 2025 on April 14. Batting first, Lucknow Super Giants scored 166/7. Rishabh Pant was Lucknow Super Giants' top-scorer, hitting 63 runs off 49 deliveries, with four fours and as many sixes. Mitchell Marsh (30) and Ayush Badoni (22) also chipped in with contributions. For Chennai Super Kings, Ravindra Jadeja (2/24) and Matheesha Pathirana (2/45) got two wickets each while Khaleel Ahmed (1/38) and Anshul Kamboj (1/20) got one apiece. In response, Chennai Super Kings came out on top, winning the match in 19.3 overs. Shivam Dube was CSK's top-scorer as he hit 43* off 37 balls while MS Dhoni smashed an unbeaten 26 runs off just 11 balls. For Lucknow Super Giants, Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets (2/18). CSK broke their five-match losing streak, winning just their second game in IPL 2025.
