Former Tampines GRC MP Desmond Choo where he has been in charge of the Tampines Changkat division since his election in 2015. The 46-year-old also holds the position of Mayor of the North East District.
Tampines Changkat SMC is among the six newly formed single-member constituencies introduced in the latest changes by the Electoral Boundaries Review Committee.
