Former CISA director and chief intelligence officer at SentinelOne, Chris Krebs, resigned Wednesday, according to CNBC. The move follows an executive order by President Donald Trump targeting him and urging the suspension of clearances for entities with whom he’s associated. The order accused Krebs of abusing government authority during the 2020 election and named cybersecurity company SentinelOne directly. Krebs said his departure was voluntary and driven by a desire to fight for democracy and free speech outside the company. SentinelOne said fewer than 10 employees have clearances and expects no material business impact.
