The government now allows licensed telecommunications companies to provide fibre optic network services along railway corridors nationwide, Transport Minister Anthony Loke announced.
Speaking at a press conference following the Railway Assets Corporation’s (RAC) 2025 appreciation ceremony and open day on Friday (April 18), Loke said so far, YTL Communications Sdn Bhd has been selected through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process to optimise the use of national rail assets for the development of high-speed fibre optic networks.
