Udhampur (J&K), April 20, 2025 (ANI): Vehicular traffic has been significantly disrupted following a landslide caused by persistent rainfall, which has severely affected a segment of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in the Ramban district. Numerous vehicles, including those carrying passengers, are currently stranded at various locations along the highway in Udhampur. Authorities plan to reassess the situation once weather conditions improve.On April 20, heavy rainfall accompanied by hailstorms impacted several areas within Ramban district, leading to the closure of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The substantial landslide that occurred on the same day resulted in major travel disruptions. Reports confirm that the Jammu-Srinagar NH-44 remains closed due to falling stones and landslides in multiple areas.
