Description: Srinagar (J&K), April 21, 2025 (ANI): Government organised training program to aware farmers about new schemes of poultry & dairy sector in Kashmir. To inform farmers, especially young entrepreneurs who want to set up their new units of dairy farming or promote poultry units, the government organises specific training programs. This specific program was organized by the department of animal and sheep husbandry at the Directorate office Srinagar where a number of progressive farmers and young entrepreneurs that were coming from different districts of the valley participated. During this program experts gave different informative lectures about new schemes and also screened a number of short screening films about the promotion of poultry and farming sectors of the valley. On this occasion farmers interacted with experts of the sheep and animal husbandry department aimed to know about the new schemes and latest technologies which will help them to start off promoting their units. So that’s why during this one day program progressive farmers and entrepreneurs were participating at large scale. During this program experts inform farmers about new breeds of female sheep, goats and cows that are providing quality production of milk and tasteful meat rather than traditional breeds. So this is the need of the hour to adopt law technologies and use good varieties of breeds to boost poultry and sheep husbandry sector. So that in future youths of the valley can start their business and create the source of employment and earn their livelihood without any hurdles. Because people were facing a lot of problems to start any poultry or dairy farming unit but the present time government is giving different schemes and providing a number of facilities which results in a good number of youths are dealing poultry and sheep husbandry farming with positive results.
