Ingredients :
-Chana Daal 1 cup ( Split Chickpeas lentil ) soaked for 1 hour
-Pani 2 cups ( Water )
-Cooking oil 1/3 cup
-Pyaz 1 cup ( onion Sliced )
-Zeera 1 tsp ( Cumin seeds)
-Choti Elaichi 3 -4 ( Green Cardamom )
-Bari Elaichi 2 -3 ( Black Cardamom)
-Laung 4 -6 ( cloves )
-Hari Mirch 2 -3 tbsp ( Green Chilies )
-Adrak , Lehsun Chopped 1 tbsp ( Ginger , garlic )
-Dhania powder 2 tsp ( Coriander Powder )
-Kashmiri Lal Mirch 1/2 tsp ( Kashmiri Red chili Powder )
-Bhuna Zeera Powder 1 + 1/2 Tsp ( Roasted Cumin Powder )
-Lal Mirch Powder 1 tsp ( Red chili Powder ) or as per taste
-Haldi Powder 1/2 tsp ( Turmeric powder )
-Namak 1 tsp ( Salt ) or as per taste
-Tamatar paste 1/2 cup ( Tomato Paste)
-Kaddu 1/2 kg chopped ( Bottle gourd )
-Chicken Cube 1
-Imli Ka pulp ( tamarind Pulp )
-Mint Leaves 2 -3 tbsp ( Podina )
-Kali Mirch 1 tsp ( Black pepper powder )
-Garam masala 1 tsp
-Hari Mirch 3 -4 ( Green Chilies )
-Hara Dhania chopped 1/2 cup ( Fresh coriander )
Direction For Cooking :
-Take a wok add soaked chana daal add some water and bring it to boil then remove the scum , cover and cook until daal is almost 80 % cooked.
-Strain the water don 't through the water of daal and set aside.
-Take a blender jar add chopped 3 -4 tomatoes and make a smooth paste then set aside.
-Take another wok add oil and heat the oil then add slice onion , cook until translucent .
-Add cumin seeds , green cardamom , black cardamom , cloves , chopped green chilies , ginger , garlic chopped cook for 2 -3 mins on low flame.
-Add Coriander powder , kashmiri Red chili powder , red chili powder , roasted cumin powder , turmeric powder , salt and cook for 2 -3 mins on low flame.
-Add tomato paste and cook until oil separates .
-Add chopped bottle gourd ( Kaddu ) , cook for 5 -7 mins on medium flame.
-Add water if required.
-Add cooked chana daal and cook for 2 -4 mins on medium flame.
-Add imli ka pulp ( tamarind pulp ) , chicken cube mix it well and cook for 2 -3 mins.
-Add Chana daal water as requried , add mint leaves mix it well.
-Cover & cook for 15 -18 mins on low flame until fully done.
-Add black pepper powder , garam masala , green chilies , fresh coriander chopped mix it well.
-Cover & simmer for 2 -3 mins on low flame.
-Take a serving dish add chopped fresh coriander and serve with roti , or boiled rice.
