Today's contestants are Diana Owen & Dave Benny from South Humberside, John & Mandy Griffiths from the West Midlands, Jim Isaacs & Pauline Reed from Fife, and Jean Davies & Jonathan Barker from Cheshire. Bruce Forsyth hosts but isn't talking at first to assistant Rosemary Ford after she referred to him as a clapped out Chippendale in the last episode. But it doesn't stop them helping the victims (sorry, contestants) through such games involving practising with the Red Devils (sky diving, not Manchester United), making pasta (with typical results for some), making and guessing a tune on a huge keyboard, and guess the mime from TV adverts. The final two pairs then face off in a 1920's farce where one is considerably better than the other. There are a number of famous faces, including Patrick Moore, Paul Shane and June Whitfield, while one contestant is surprised with a Guess the Knobbly Knees competition. And if you are wondering what Brucie is referring to at the beginning, it is William Roache's court victory suing the newspapers over saying he was as boring as his Coronation Street character Ken Barlow. And to think he is STILL in the soap!
