Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the Union Cabinet has cleared a high-speed highway corridor from Shillong to Silchar. The mega infrastructure project will be built at an estimated cost of ₹22,864 crore. This move aims to boost connectivity and development in the Northeast region.
