Lego F1 cars race on Miami circuit
Formula 1 fans were treated to unusual sight ahead of the Miami Grand Prix as life-like replica cars made of lego took to the circuit ahead of the race. The cars were created by a team of 26 designers, engineers and LEGO builders based at the LEGO Group’s Kladno factory in the Czech Republic. The project took over 22,000 hours to build 10 cars at a near 1:1 scale to the authentic Formula 1 cars. Each car comprises of nearly 400,000 LEGO bricks, weighing 1000kg and capable of reaching speeds of 20 km/h.
