Three suspected members of a syndicate involved in stealing four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicles were shot dead during a shootout at a homestay here on the morning of Thursday (May 1).
Speaking at a press conference at Kedah police headquarters on Tuesday (May 6), Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the group had been active in several states, including Melaka, Selangor, Pahang, and Perak, and was believed to be smuggling the stolen vehicles out of the country.
