Charlie Chan in the Chinese Ring, also known as “The Chinese Ring”, is a 1947 American mystery film directed by William Beaudine. The story begins with the murder of a Chinese princess who visits Charlie Chan in San Francisco. Before her death, she leaves behind a cryptic clue involving a ring and the name "Captain K." Chan, along with his assistant Birmingham Brown and reporter Peggy Cartwright, investigates the case, uncovering a plot involving stolen money, international intrigue, and betrayal. This film marks Roland Winters' debut as Charlie Chan and is a remake of the 1939 film “Mr. Wong in Chinatown”.
