A Florida federal judge dismissed most of the claims against celebrities and YouTubers who promoted the failed cryptocurrency exchange FTX, according to CNBC. U.S. District Judge K. Michael Moore ruled that the plaintiffs failed to show the stars had sufficient knowledge of FTX’s fraud or intent to deceive. He cleared defendants like Tom Brady, Stephen Curry, Kevin O’Leary, Larry David, and others of federal advertising and civil conspiracy claims. The court also dismissed nearly all claims against YouTube influencers who allegedly promoted FTX. Two claims related to state securities law violations in Florida and Oklahoma remain active.
