‘Charlie Chan in the Golden Eye’, also known as ‘The Golden Eye’, is a 1948 American mystery film directed by William Beaudine. The story follows Charlie Chan as he investigates a suspicious gold mine in Arizona that has suddenly become profitable. The mine's owner, Manning, fears for his life and seeks Chan's help. To avoid suspicion, Chan checks into a nearby dude ranch with his son Tommy and his assistant Birmingham Brown. As Chan delves deeper, he uncovers a smuggling operation involving Mexican gold, deception, and murder. Roland Winters stars as Charlie Chan in his fourth appearance in the role.
