New Delhi, May 10, 2025 (ANI ): Congress’ MP Manish Tewari slammed Pakistan for escalating the ongoing Indo-Pak conflict and said that “Pakistan cannot use terror as state policy”. “Pakistan's intentions are clearly escalators and if Pakistan keeps going down this path, it has to understand that there will be a price to pay for it. What India did on the intervening night of the 6th and 7th of May 2025 was an act purely in self-defence in consonance with public international law. What Pakistan has been doing since then is a brazen act of aggression”, he said . He also denounced International Monetary Fund’s $1 billion loan assistance to Pakistan amid the ongoing Indo-Pak conflict. “It is very unfortunate, and the IMF should not have done this because the money given to Pakistan does not go to help the people of Pakistan. The money instead goes to strengthen the terrorist organizations, which Pakistan has sheltered, and to reinforce the network of terrorism that they have built. In this situation, the decision by the IMF is entirely unfortunate", he said in a statement.
