Govt resumes sale of P20/kilo of rice
The sale of P20 per kilo of rice resumes at the Pasay City Public Market and the Kadiwa ng Pangulo store at the Department of Agriculture office in Quezon City on May 13, 2025. Each individual can buy a maximum of 10 kilos each. The government project was halted in compliance with a Commission on Elections ban against the implementation of such programs during the campaign and elections. The cheap rice, however, is only for sale to senior citizens, PWD's, single parents, and beneficiaries of the government's anti-poverty project.
