The political atmosphere in Madhya Pradesh turned tense after controversial remarks by state minister Vijay Shah, allegedly targeting Colonel Sofia Qureshi. In response, Congress workers staged a protest outside Shah's bungalow in Bhopal around 9:00 pm on Monday.
Protesters threw black ink at the minister’s residence and raised slogans including “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vijay Shah Murdabad.” The protest follows mounting criticism of Shah’s statement, which has drawn condemnation from opposition leaders and civil society.
Security around the minister's bungalow has been tightened. The police are investigating the incident.
