New Delhi, May 15, 2025 (ANI): Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on May 15 said that the they will remove 20 lakhs metric tonnes of legacy garbage from Okhla landfill site by October 2025. He also told that our target is to eliminate all the mountains of garbage from Delhi by 2028. “Just as dinosaurs became extinct, these landfills are also disappearing from the country. This is PM Modi's vision, which CM Rekha Gupta is working on. By October 2025, we will remove 20 lakh metric tonnes of legacy garbage from here. After that, this mountain will almost disappear. Our target is to eliminate all the mountains of garbage from Delhi by 2028. After that, these landfills will only remain in photos...,” said Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
