The Migrant Repatriation Programme has been extended until April 30, 2026, for Peninsular Malaysia and Labuan, says Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
Speaking after an appreciation ceremony for the Immigration Department (JIM) on Friday (May 16), Saifuddin said the extension aims to facilitate the voluntary return of undocumented migrants.
Under the programme, individuals who entered the country without valid passes or overstayed will be fined RM500, while those who violated the terms of their entry passes will face a RM300 compound.
