Nowshera (J&K), May 16, 2025 (ANI): Frequent cross-border shelling in the Nowshera sector has caused severe hardship to local residents, with dozens of families reporting loss of property, livestock, and livelihood. While the government-built bunkers have proven crucial in saving lives during 8-10 May, locals said that the devastation to their homes and farms is beyond repair. Villagers are now urging the central and state governments to announce a special rehabilitation package tailored for border residents. Their demands include compensation for destroyed homes, lost livestock, and financial support to rebuild lives shattered by repeated hostilities.
