Pakatan Harapan secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail says it is up to the two Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) deputy presidential candidates to decide whether they wish to proceed with a debate as part of their campaign for the 2025–2028 party elections.
When asked on Friday (May 16) about Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli’s offer to debate PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar—an offer she declined—Saifuddin said debates are merely one of many available campaign approaches.
He also expressed confidence that PKR’s upcoming party elections, despite being competitive, will not jeopardize party unity or distract from its national priorities.
